Abstract

The aim of this work is to develop methodological prerequisites for the construction of garment patterns taking into account the concept of modularity. To this end, we researched and analyzed methods, methodologies and modeling prerequisites, studied the modular concept and how it can be applied to clothing and, finally, we developed methodological requirements for the development of modifiable and reversible modeling, using as a case study the process of constructing a modifiable, multifunctional or reversible bomber jacket, thus presenting a practical example of the application of the proposed requirements. Methodology included bibliographical, exploratory and empirical research. As a result, a framework of prerequisites was established for the construction of models using the modular concept and these were applied in a practical way in the development of a transformable bomber jacket.
