Abstract

In the Information Age we are increasingly connected and with young people it is no different.  Thus, it is necessary to use these media in favor of education. Our objective is to verify to what  extent the social network TikTok can be used to promote educational content and develop the  necessary skills for learning, based on the analysis of the Descomplica profile. We used Cultural  Studies and new technologies in education as a theoretical framework. And as a methodology,  we opted for content analysis in order to compare the Descomplica channel on the TikTok  platform and how they use this social network to share educational topics. We collected 78  videos for analysis, covering various subjects such as Portuguese, mathematics, history,  chemistry, among others. And the structure of the videos ranged from dubbing, post its,  dancing, challenges, etc. We realize that it is possible to re-signify teaching through Tiktok,  being a support for education.
