Abstract

The right to quality public education, established in the 1988 Constitution, must be interpreted in the current context as the right to an education that incorporates the uses of digital media. However, statistics show the challenges faced by the country in ensuring education for all, especially for those who failed to complete their studies at the right age. In this sense, this work aims to analyze and discuss the Education of Youth and Adults (EJA) in the context of expansion of internet access and the increasing use of digital media. For this we conducted a literature review on the use of digital media by EJA students. For this, we use the concept of AMI (Media and Information Literacy) as a resource to include young people and adults attending EJA. As main results, it is noted that although there is already a use of digital media in particular contexts, there are still gaps that explore its use in a more critical and complete way.
