Abstract

The pandemic that ravaged the world at the beginning of 2020 brought challenges in a surreal reality, people falling ill quickly, having their emotional and physical health compromised by fear, poor health, and the recurring increase in deaths. The first step to be taken was the suspension of face-to-face classes and the forced and immediate adoption of the distance learning module. The school manager and teachers had to integrate the routine of tele-classes, tutoring classes without physical contact, talking to parents about tasks that in many cases not even they knew about, among many other factors. This project aims to present the challenges that school managers faced during the Covid-19 pandemic, not only with students, their parents, but also with co-workers, who in many cases were also afraid of the disease, the new format of class, results, mental health and several different factors. This is an integrative bibliographic study that seeks to understand the transformations and challenges for the school manager and his team, understanding that the protective measures for the Covid 19 pandemic brought dread, fear, forced changes to a relevant population. and mainly the commitment of school and student contact. The school manager was faced with a new reality, having co-workers who do not have affinities with technology, children who do not yet have compatible cell phones and access to the internet, among other challenges.
