Abstract

This article proposes to pay attention to the need to rethink schools in light of the current context, with regard to the great diversity that exists in the school environment. However, because it is such a vast topic, it was necessary to make a cut, which directs the work to a more specific issue, religious diversity. Through bibliographical research, the aim is to place religious diversity and its implications in everyday school life at the center of the debate. The aim, however, is to understand how diversity interferes with pedagogical practices, since it can generate conflicts and debates, not always healthy, between the agents involved in the teaching-learning process. Furthermore, we intend to consider the role of the supervisor as an individual responsible for, together with teachers, working towards democratic education that contributes to the formation of tolerant subjects in an increasingly diverse society.
