O PAPEL DA INCUBADORA DE EMPRESAS DE UM INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE EDUCAÇÃO PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO DE EMPREENDEDORES E DE NEGÓCIOS INOVADORES

Abstract

Although Brazil is a country with a high rate of entrepreneurship, most businesses, especially micro and small, are characterized by a low degree of innovation, little investment in technology and lack of management knowledge. In this context, it is observed that the programs for incubating companies have been gaining more and more prominence in recent years for promoting entrepreneurship by opportunity and the development of innovations. Thus, this research aims to analyze the role of the business incubator of a Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology in the development of entrepreneurs and innovative businesses. To this end, a descriptive, qualitative research was carried out, based on a case study with four entrepreneurs belonging to the mixed incubator of the Federal Institute “X”. For data collection, interviews were conducted by Google Meet through a semi-structured script. Bardin's content analysis was used as a data analysis technique. The results show that the incubator analyzed according to the companies, plays a strong contribution to entrepreneurship by opportunity, since the environment provides business experience and the courses offered are relevant for them to acquire this know-how.
